Registration
How do I register for a fair?
Registration is opened for a fair as soon as a date and venue location are finalized. To register, log in to our GWork system at mygwork.gwu.edu. The link for registration will be listed on the GWork homepage under “Announcements.”
Is there a registration deadline?
If you do not register at least three weeks before the fair, you will be assessed a late fee and you will not be included in the employer fair directory. This directory is made available to students a week before the fair and includes detailed descriptions of attending organizations and the positions they are seeking to fill.
Is there a waitlist for fairs if they are full?
Yes, we place employers on a waitlist once a fair becomes full. Employers are taken off the list in the order in which they registered, as space becomes available.
Are third-party recruiters allowed to participate in GW's career and job fairs?
Yes.
What is the refund policy if I need to cancel my registration?
Please review your registration form for specific dates as they will change for each fair. We will refund your cost of registration 100% if you cancel by the 4th week before the day of the fair, 75% by the 3rd week before the fair, 50% by the 2nd week before the fair, and 25% by the week before the fair. We will not provide any refunds any cancellations that happen the day of the fair.

How many company representatives can attend a GW career fair?

You may pay online through our secure GWork system by Visa/MasterCard, or by check. Checks should be made payable to The George Washington University and mailed to:
GW Career Center
Attn: Employer Partnerships
1922 F Street, NW
Washington, DC 20052
Please write the name of the fair you are attending in the memo section of the check so that we can process it accordingly (e.g. Fall Career Fair, Internship and Part-time Job Fair).

Logistics
Does the Career Center need to know the names of the attending recruiters in advance?
Although it is not required, we prefer that you include the names of those who will be attending the fair on your registration form so that we can know who to expect the day of the fair.
Can I choose the location of my fair table within the venue?
No. To be fair to each organization, we arrange employer tables alphabetically.
Can I ship my career fair materials to the event location prior to coming?
We are currently in the process of researching this possibility. Please contact us at ocr@gwu.edu or 202.994.8633 to learn the current status of this service.
Will there be free parking available for employers?
Yes, we will validate up to two GW-affiliated parking passes for all day free parking if you park in a GW-owned parking facility. Please note that there are non-University affiliated “Colonial Parking” garages near campus for which we cannot validate.
I missed the fair, how do I get information to interested students?
We will be happy to post your contact information in the Announcements section of the student version of the GWork homepage so that students may contact you directly.
Do you provide wireless internet access?
Wireless access is not available.
Where do I fax my W-9?
GW’s W-9 number is located in the right hand corner of your registration form; however, if you need us to fill out the W-9 please fax it to 202.994.6011.

Advice for Employers Attending GW Fairs
How do I assure positive outcomes when participating in your fairs?
1. Register early
Registration fills up fast, so secure your spot early! Registering on time ensures your inclusion in the fair directory—one of our marketing tools provided to students the week before the fair.
2. Be very specific when completing your company profile in GWork
Make your profile as specific as possible—including job descriptions, company culture information, expectations of applicants—to ensure you attract the students you want! Your profile will be included in the directory, which students use to decide which companies they will visit at the fair.
3. Arrive early
Arrive early to set up your table, relax, and enjoy our refreshments—catering is provided—before students arrive. Ample time allows you to set up your materials, get your parking validated, and touch base with our staff should you have any questions or concerns. We want to make sure you have the most stress-free day possible!
4. Stay until the end of the fair
Many students have classes at some point during the day of the fair and come to the fair at different times. Stay until the end of the fair to ensure you meet all possible qualified candidates for your job! An empty table could cost you a quality candidate (and it can cost you your reputation).
5. Giveaways
Students love free stuff. If you wish to appeal to students in new ways, bring giveaways to leave lasting impressions. Students everywhere love free food, t-shirts, pens, gadgets, etc!
